Dear Sonia, I got one (DS) for some strange reason and luck. I was sceptical about 35mm Format digital but this camera is the end for film in some aspects. I only had it for 2 weeks and shot pictures in raw format. To push things to the limit I tried 1200 ASA in near darkness inside with candlelight, tungsten an a mini HMI in the back ground, kind off hoping it would fail. I saw BLUES in a painting that my eye could not see!!! - I also tried 4 sec exposures (at f1.00 50mm and f 1.2 on the 85mm) It is so good that you have to cheat in postproduction. The camera and software makes the pictures look so good that it does not feel like a low light picture that we are used to.
I have not read the manual yet, (no discipline!!) but I played with some off the Software, like take remote shots straight into the computer. 1 or 3 or 20 shots every sec. Or every 90 hrs etc. the poss. Are endless and opens the mind to new poss.- The "stitcher" comes with it. No idea if it is the full blown version. Have to wait for spare time to find out. This Camera turned me into a little boy again. I think I can use it for Advertising after I printed a 44" print on a 10600 Epson that is not even profiled. There is one big problem with that Camera: I have not paid for it yet. Is anyone out there a Canon EOS-1Ds user?? I heard on the grapevine there were about 150 in circulation in the UK. If so what do you think ? The reviews at www.dpreview.com sound impressive... I have been waiting for the Kodak DCS pro 14n to arrive, but since its delay I've been wondering if the Canon is a better bet. There does not seem to be any in-depth reviews of the 14n to be found on the web that feature photographers who have actually used it out. =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
