THANK YOU to everyone who responded to this query - its comforting to know
Fixation can sort out problems under warantee quickly if necessary on all
cameras thanxs Mike for recommending them.....Curious to know where you can
get Canon service to fix items on the spot - is that in Central London?

Seems like in general those of you who have had a go with the EOS1Ds do like
it a lot - Andreas you really made me want to buy it! However until
someone gets there hands on a production model of the Kodak DCS14n it seems
you can't really compare properly...

The ACTUAL burst rate for the Kodak will be good to know..with the upgrade
and without -

This will be my only camera for a new career as a photographer (I was a
graphic designer in my previous life!) so I hope I choose the right product.

Having checked both Kodak's manual and the EOS1Ds site - I must say the
Canon's is far more user friendly and sexy...

However I do feel that paying for the Canon is hard to stomach when the
Kodak seems so close in spec...

Any other comments welcome..

Happy New Year to all,

Sonya
