Ideally a 2450 (or any other bulb scanner) should be re-calibrated every month to compensate for the bulb ageing. Would you believe that the true focus point is about 3mm above the glass? I have made a custom cardboard holder for my 6x12cm negs. From a 5x4in neg it is possible to make a very sharp 20x16in inkjet print. Quite suitable for my own purposes, but not quite good enough for commercial scans. You get what you pay for, and the next step up is a Nikon 8000, which is a lotta money. Well, it's a lotta money for me. <G> best William Curwen www.william.ws =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
