Many thanks for your reply.

I have done as you suggest, but on my 1160 print dialog box there is no
facility for saving any settings. On my 1200 print dialog box there is. The
1160 drivers have just been downloaded from Epson and are the latest
version.

In any event I am still trying to find the optimum settings prior to having
a profile built.

If I chose Matte Paper – Heavyweight, my settings go like this,

Click – Advanced
Print Quality – 1440dpi
ICM – Tried them all (by Host System, by Printer, and Disabled)
ICM Intent – Pictures
Advanced Printing Features – Enabled
Override With Presets – Have tried Off (manual) and ICM
High Speed – Off
Microweave – On
Halftone – Error Diffusion

Can you see anything wrong with these?
I am still getting very poor prints.
