Sounds as if you struck lucky, but how do you know yours is OK? Have you cross checked with Thomas Holm's excellent verification kit perhaps?
The fact that there have been so many reports of these units giving poor results makes one somewhat cautious of systems relying on them, unless verified as above.....remember your reputation may depend on what your monitor displays!
