Hmm, I agree that Best on a PC is great, however the Mac Designer Edition is
an entirely different product (or it was last time I checked a year - year
and a half ago). The linearization couldn't be done with a spectro, and if
this isn't possible, it defies the purpose of using it with Lyson inks...

Anybody out there with a BEST on a Mac and an Eye one how have successfully
done linearization's lately?

Dear Thomas

I believe you are still correct, but if anyone does want to have the advantages this product offers but are phased by the idea of running a non Mac computer let me suggest you may be cutting off your nose!

Get as fast a PC as you can justify running win2K, it could even be a second owner one for peanuts, even new it won't cost you a fortune, and use is just to run the rip and the printer. Set up hot folders/queues and put the computer on your network, and just push files onto the hot folders/queues and let it do the business for you...no sweat no problems and a brilliantly stable solution.

Cheers

Richard
