> My question of the day is: > We're thinking of changing to Lyson inks/paper does anyone have any > experience in this matter,
I've just changed my 2000P over to the Lyson Fotonic continuous ink system. I'm using the Lyson supplied profile for their Smooth Fine Art paper for the meantime but will have a custom profile made soon. The CIS was quite costly but I have now moved on from owning an almost completely useless SLOW printer (the much discussed illuminant metamerism) to a really fabby SLOW printer. Recently did a side by side comparison of the same image printed on a 7600 with Epson Ultrachrome (matte black) on Epson Archival Matte and the newly revitalised 2000P Lyson combination. The Fotonic/ SFArt print was much nicer - especially in black detail funnily enough, despite Ultrachrome's much vaunted extra black cart. Still bloody slow, though.
