Expanding the SCSI Raid controllers shows; Tekram DC-395U/UW or DC-315/U PCI Ultra SCSI Host Adapter Ver 3.02 and the properties for that show that the device is working normally >>I get a message saying that "No Bios Disc Found, SCSI Bios not installed". >>According to Bodoni this is normal, the Bios is on the Flextight software >>set-up CD, and will be installed when Flextight is installed. >Far be it for me to suggest that this does not make sense, but the SCSI >controller card BIOS are separate from the operation of the scanner and >are specific for your manufacturer and model/range of card. Surely all >that is on the Flextight disk is the software to run the scanner? Lee at Bodoni insists this normal and he sees that all the time, so I have to accept that in the meantime! >>> >>>BTW is the card one that is recommended for that scanner? >>> Lee said there are no specific recommendations. > >I am sure that Lee will see you up and running before too long. > The current situation seems to have Lee struggling to figure out what is going wrong. On Wednesday next week, if Lee or I have not solved the problem before then, I am taking the scanner and pc to my hardware man in Inverness, link up with Lee by phone, and try and track down between us why there is a boot problem. Many thanks again Richard for your help, if nothing else, at least I have learned a few things from this problem!
