When booting does the SCSI controller show up? If so have you tried hitting Ctr and A at that point and then seeing if your card is identified as a SCSI device.
Sorry to confuse you Gordon...what I meant to say was with your scanner connected and on, does it show up as a SCSI device at the above point when you go into SCSI BIOS?
