Hi List - Hope someone can help with this.......
I am currently running Mac o/s 9.1 on a G3 Powerbook. I have had a prob with
it acknowledging the presence of a CD in the internal port. After running
Norton I decided I should re-install the o/s system and part of this
requires me to turn off the extensions manager. However whenever I do this
from the apple icon on the top left of the screen or the control panels I
get a crash or a message saying 'series 1 (or 2) error'. - I have also
tried restart holding down the shift key. I get the 'Welcome to Mac OS -
Extensions Off' message, but after that nothing appears to happen and I have
to do a cold restart.....?
Has anyone else experienced this? If so how was it rectified to recognise
the CD?
ps. I don't have the start up cd.
Thanks in advance
