Hi Jorge That's interesting to read, I only got the unit yesterday so with a few preliminary shots, its worked fine but usage has not been anything near 233 RAW images. I'm using 512MB cards so I'll see how the battery life is over the course of the week and post some thoughts.
I'm assuming your friend is running a more recent iPod but if he is running an old style iPod (with the rotary wheel vs touch sensitive surface), there are a number of well documented issues with power consumption which could also be a contributory factor even with the 2.1 updater.
