Hi Mark,
I hate to say it, but I reckon it is just Canon printers. I had one a couple of years ago, the definition etc. was fine, but colours were terrible. I tried drivers from Canon's sites around the world, and in the end it went up in the loft where it is still!

Dear John

Generalizations tend to be dangerous <G> There are some here who have been able to get superb results colour wise from this printer, so perhaps its because of something that's not being done correctly. However I suspect as with all other printers, optimum results come with using a custom printer profile. Correct choice of media is also very important.

We have one of Canon's professional printers the W2200 proofer and I can tell you that the quality out of this beast is just incredible. It's also noise free and very quick and has a user exchangeable print head and good size ink carts.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Richard
