Mark , am I being thick now ? is do I understand that the cmyk image they sent you is the one they didnt have ?

anyway , nothing suprises me any more , we last week had a printer tell one of our clients it was our fault a job was late because we had not emailed an image and a small quark file . When we found out (from our client) we checked that the email had been sent (4 times) and rang and told the printer that .... they then said "the email had to be forwarded to a 'mac specialist' as it was corrupt and they couldnt read it on a pc". The mac specialist ( a guy we know ) emailed it from his mac to his pc , then burnt it onto cd and gave it to the printer. ARRGGGGHH !!

blood let over.

This morning I download the sample they have sent me via e mail. Once
uncompressed it is 40mb CMYK. Given the old adage that resistance is futile
I have just burnt the original 30mb RGB file to CD so that once they receive
it they can convert it back to the 40mb CMYK file they have just sent me.
