Dear Richard, You are right. As we know, this is all too common. Barely a day goes by when I don't have a conversation along these lines with someone who should no better. Only yesterday, I was talking to a big London printing house who we thought would 'know their onions'. However, on receipt of our files, they were doing a blind conversion to their default CMYK settings. I asked them what those settings were and he didn't know and wondered how would he find out... I asked him to look at his Colour Settings and he said, "Would you mind telling me where I might find those?". Hmmm. Enough said.
