Hi prodigers

Can anyone recommend a good method for sharpening images where there is a
lot of noise present?. Had to shoot a load of pics at ISO 1250 (man in dark
clothes on a white horse galloping through shady undergrowth on a very dull
day) and resulting images have lots of noise, particularly obvious in skin
tones and dark clothes. I don't usually need to use such high ISO ratings
so this is a new issue for me. (RAW files from 1DS converted in PSCS). The
best result I can acheive so far is by sharpening the lightness channel in
LAB mode, but still artefacts noticeable. Any one got any other techniques
that might be better - I would be very grateful. Alternatively, anyone got
any views on any noise reduction software?

Thanks as always

Amanda
