Since I've got a light meter, I figured I could work out the illumination - there had to be some formula that related f-stop, asa and shutter speed to lux. However Googling has produced loads of formulae, all different and mostly disputed by another respondent.

I make that 3.25 EV at a 100asa meter setting to achieve 28.5 lux which is what we run at here.
