Long time user of ADSL - since 1998 - first at 2MB and now quite happily at 512kb.

I would not expect speed and reliability for commercial photo-library use for �25.
With BT you get I believe 512/256 at contention ratio of 1 in 20, so your minimum (=normal?)
upload speed is 256/20, or a quarter of the 56k you get on a normal phone line.
