Brenda,

We have recently become broadband enabled in our part of North Wales and it is fantastic!

Dare I say it, I use BT and have found their 26pm package very fast and excellent (15Gb pm limit at 512 Kb/sec

Not sure you need a firewall if you access your phone line with a router (provided free) with a USB and Ethernet connection. As I understand it, the router hides your computers internet addresses from intrusive outside eyes.
If you seek further cover, what about Zone Alarm - rated the best software firewall.?

We have linked the Ethernet output from the router to our internal LAN so, effectiovely, we can have all PCs accessing the Internet as required.

So far no communications problems or slowing down as all.
