First noticed on my new Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS L (on beach 100km from any city with models and client patiently waiting)
Just done a test on my normally very sharp Canon100mm f2.8 macro;
On tripod, focus manual- fine
without moving anything, especially focus ring, but switching to auto focus- way out of focus.
