Hi Gordon, Just for the sake of clarity can we distinguish between Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer? I take it it is the Windows OS 'file explorer' you are interested in?
Maybe there is a clue in the help file for selecting ICM in the printer driver advance settings: QUOTE: Select ICM when printing scanned photographs or computer graphics. This setting uses the Windows color matching method to automatically match the colors in your printout with the colors displayed on your screen. Be aware that the ambient light and the age, quality, and settings of the monitor can affect the quality of your color matching. ENDQUOTE Note it says ' Windows color matching method' which as I understand it is primarily sRGB from end to end. If you look in the Color Settings dialogue for PS you will see that there is a Microsoft ICM engine available as an alternative to Adobe(ACE) Tony Riley (surrey) > Windows Explorer + Eizo CG21 > > > My experience, > > altho with Win2k, > wouldn't have expected it to display any differently. > > That is, I've > always described the Windows method of CM as "passive".
