Just in case you can't use the WSH for security reasons take a look at:

"...Vfpscut.exe creates desktop shortcut to a Visual FoxPro application..."

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/238553

I bow to Brian if he says yes to optional creation. I've never found that
option in the Express edition. However I agree with him about using Inno.

Just a word of warning when using VFP9 installs on locked down PC's.
MSVcr71.dll won't install in the System32 folder of the client if access
rights are not allowed. You have to manually copy it over with admin rights
and this can be a real pain.

Hi all

Two questions:

Is it possible, using only "typical" setup (i.e. not "custom" setup) to make
the installation of a desktop shortcut optional ?

Is it possible to let the user have the option to run/launch the application
when setup completes ?

Thanks
