Thanks Kevin for that input. As such - I will then probably go w/1 of the Win8 
laptops - which has better Processor & screen size spec's!

I wouldn't worry about going with Windows 8. The issue with Windows 8 is the 
new User Interface.  By installing "Classic Shell", you get around most of the 
UI hiccups.  Under the covers, it's still Windows for better or worse.
