Have either of you to pillocks even been to the UK recently?

Making rash judgments on news by stereotyping the people involved is both
stupid, irrational and certainly shows a lack of basic intelligence.

On the basis that I was brought up in Greater Manchester, Live in West
Yorkshire and work in Lancashire with a holiday cottage in South Wales I
think I can say with a fair amount of honesty that your "conclusions" are
completely unfounded.

The "yobs" as they are called are predominantly white, living on council
estates with young parents who are usually obese, illiterate and seemingly
welded to the television set with no idea where their children spend their
free time. Neither do they care about the mindless vandalism perpetrated by
the youngsters, preferring to blame the state schools and the rest of
society for the upbringing of THEIR children who have no moral principles or
guidelines whatsoever. The disruptive kids have usually been brought up in
socially dysfunctional families with no role models or moral framework
whatsoever - how do you expect them to behave, and why are we surprised when
they involve themselves in mindless acts of aggression and violence?

Our politically correct society obliges us to purchase a television license
before we can have a television, but allows us to have kids without any
training whatsoever - how stupid. We support the teenage single parent
families with free handouts which make it virtually impossible to remove
anyone from the welfare state support system and Social Care/Welfare is no
longer a safety net, it is a way of life for many many families.

This is NOTHING to do with muslims or colour or creed, but everything to do
with laziness, greed and a lack of respect for anything to do with authority
and age. Unfortunately we are on the slippery slope because this is now the
second generation of "TV'ised" morons who were fostered by my generation of
"open toe'd sandle" brigade. They spent more time demonstrating against
Nuclear disarmament and less time working for a living. In the late 60's.
those of us who "could", worked, and those who "couldn't" went into
teaching, local government and politics because it was an easy option and
not because they had a calling.

Unfortunately these are the same people who now run the health service and
local councils which come up with all these PC ideas and allow spongers to
freeload on the state without taking any responsibility for their actions.

It is ourselves that have created the problem. Kids are no different now
than they have ever been. However, any good parent knows that you need the
following attributes to be a good parent:

1. Fairness
2. Firmness
3. Understanding
4. Moral principles
5. Good communication skills
6. A family environment which embraces as opposed to ostracizes the child
But most of all
7. An interest in the children themselves

Give any of these kids a week with my ex Warrant Officer in the RAF and he's
sort them out good and proper. Unfortunately we live in a society which
prefers to reward troublemakers with useless prison sentences and community
service as opposed to fixing the basic underlying fault - the parents.

If more of our children were given the social fabric and coherence that the
asian community show in terms of extended families and respect for their
elders etc. then things would be a lot better believe me. We seem to have
simply lost the plot, wanting to blame everything and everybody else for
society's ills. The old saying "the sins of the father" rings very true.

We caused it, only we can put it right and simply passing the buck and
postulating about which section of the community is to blame will simply not
fix the problem. To sort this whole mess out is going to put a lot of
people's noses out of joint.

End of Sermon!

Hi Paul!

I wonder if he was looking at the table lower on the page?

"Table shows number of attacks according to FBU figures

A study commissioned by the union suggests the number of attacks in England
and Wales increased by 15% last year, while official data showed a drop of
68%.

Another opinion:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/faith/article3176455.ece

So, Paul, what is the predominant religion of folks in South Yorkshire, Tyne

and Wear, Cleveland, Durham and Darlington and Lancashire anyway - Baptist?
What is the predominant religion in the other districts, the ones where it
is
bad but not as bad as last year? Are there ANY Muslims in these districts?
Are there ANY Muslims in Britain, have ANY been identified in these
assaults?

Contrast this with (now defunct) The Daily American after the 1968 Detroit
race riot. Printed the police blotter every day, including a description of
the suspect. Castigated by the liberals, of course.
