You might consider running Vista in a Sun's Virtualbox or a 
VMware virtual box hosted in Ubuntu.  Then have your client 
use the Ubuntu tools like Firefox and Thunderbird for all 
web surfing and limit Vista to only those applications not 
supported under Ubuntu.
