We had a batch of operators at one site "upgrade" and reported
problems with titlebars disappearing and controls bleeding through
tabs, as I've discussed on a separate thread. I wasn't convinced that
2 and 3 year-old ThinkPads had the horsepower (specifically, the
graphics card memory) to be able to run Vista in its full bloated GUI
glory. The Lenovo outlet had a wicked deal (50% off a refurbished
laptop manufactured in June 2009), a machine with Vista Business
pre-installed as well as a number of other features we wanted to check
out. Time is money, and saving the time of install and configure and
trying to determine if the problem was us or them or the graphics
configs... bah.

Dying to see how it runs Ubuntu :) ...
