Steve is talking about the thermal transfer which is different than the "FAX 
Paper-like" labels that are sensitive to heat.  

It all depends on what the quality you need is.  Thermal transfer is expensive. 
 You could also look at dot matrix and pin-fed labels which are much less 
expensive.
