You should put your source code in escrow (there are service providers you can google---one of them whom I've thought about using is http://ig2data.com/) and then when you die, they can get the source code. On top of that, provide them with about 5+ VFP developers with whom you feel comfortable recommending to pick up where you left off. I think I've talked with a couple devs on here about such...or have been meaning to anyway. The online escrow costs money, and I've been reluctant to pay for it (haven't yet!) since I think the client should be picking up that tab since it's for their own security. It's maybe $400/year? That's not too bad. Feel free to recommend me as a backup in this kind of scenario...provided I can see your source code to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into....haha. Some devs I can follow their work and pick up where they left off. I did this for a fellow dev here a few years ago when he was ill. But some devs, well, they use a style that I'm perhaps not too able to follow (...to put it nicely). -- Mike Babcock, MCP MB Software Solutions, LLC President, Chief Software Architect http://mbsoftwaresolutions.com http://fabmate.com http://twitter.com/mbabcock16 _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
