Hi Sytze,

Borrow someone's bright kid, take him around and introduce him as your 
apprentice. Periodically be seen with him thereafter. Then just keep on 
keeping on. I wish I had done that.

I retired suddenly after a car accident. I sent all the patients a 
notice that I was closing my clinic and they could call me for records. 
A couple did call me, and I took care of them, whatever they needed.

You could do that. When the time comes just announce that you are 
closing but that if anyone needs anything to call you, and give the 
number. A couple will call and you take care of them. If the bright kid 
turns out to really be an apprentice, let him take care of them.
