For now - I did as you suggested - and Deleted those DOS records this morning - and had my guy send it over to them. And, I may do the same thing again in the near future for other report forms that have this problem when the problem is reported by other customers.
And - FYI - there are very FEW reports that are still of the old FRM type file format - vs. FRX. And - if you ARE WRONG - then I will not be the last one to Laugh! :-) -K- -----Original Message----- From: profoxtech-boun...@leafe.com [mailto:profoxtech-boun...@leafe.com] On Behalf Of Richard Kaye Sent: Wednesday, March 24, 2010 4:49 PM I believe it goes back to FP's roots as a true multi-platform environment. The fact that it shows up in the runtime environment is probably an unintended consequence. If your client is willing, you could try adding _CONVERTER="" to your config file and see if the designer still comes up. Otherwise, I think you'll have to rip out the DOS records from all your reports in order to avoid this behavior. I could be wrong, of course... <vbg> rk -----Original Message----- From: profoxtech-boun...@leafe.com [mailto:profoxtech-boun...@leafe.com] On Behalf Of Kurt Wendt Sent: Wednesday, March 24, 2010 3:37 PM To: profoxt...@leafe.com Subject: RE: Strange Reporting Problem with Clients Richard, I've never heard of that Var before, so, I looked in the online help to see what it was about. And it makes sense. Although, not sure of how that would impact the situation - since its at the client site that this problem happens - and they are running a VFP Dev Env - just running the VFP DLL's and our EXE file. FYI - the content of that Var on my system here is: C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT VISUAL FOXPRO 7\CONVERT.APP -K- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/289ea162f5642645b5cf64d624c66a14071a1...@us-ny-mail-002.waitex.net ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
