After further testing, I can confirm that certain demos do not work as
expected.

I certainly had not tried the multimedia Qt demo. As expected it responds
by saying:

*This demo is not supported on Linux 1.4.10/4.8.6*

webview went ahead and opened the Yahoo news page with an animated banner
add. I cannot start a video in this web page however, nor can I navigate
to news items offered on the page.

This time I tried to install 5.0.2, but it seems some additional libraries
are need *(,QGtkStyle could not resolve GTK. Make sure you have installed
the proper libraries.)*, and I could not complete the process. I will try
again this weekend.

Thanks again for your help.
