Yes, let's skype about it indeed. I fully understand your hard SPIRES
compliance requirements, but I think we are good WRT YYYY-MM already (see
my comment:4), and as per Travis's reply in comment:5 I think we don't
need to mess much with YYYY-MM-00 or YYYY-MM-01 at all, we should be able
to simply retain the usual meaning of YYYY-MM-DD for any day of the month
without modifying underlying support libraries. That's the synopsis of my
thinking; but let's skype about these matters in order to clarify
underlying issues.
