Yes automation is accessible in pro tools. I do believe a few people on here 
had used Sonar previously, That being said you nay want to spend some time 
learning voice over and the Mac OS first before using protools. Trying to learn 
 all  three at once will most likely lead to frustration and VoiceOver and Mac 
OS is a different animal from windows and windows screen readers.
