Hey, if you are going that high=end you might want to look at one of the Avid surface/interfaces. I know the digi 003 is discontinued but they must have something new like that and it would be totally integrated with Pro Tools. In any case, you'll need to get some a/d converters. I have the Presonus 8 channel one and the focusright octa-pre with the optional a/d module, and even a little behringer 8 channel converter whicch is OK for feeding in the output of hardware synths or drum machines although you may need to feed a clock signal into it to keep it from popping and crackling, but it's only $150 or so. I've even heard of guys using their old adat machines just for a/d though you would only get 16-bit resolution from them. I still have one around believe it or not, at one time I had three of those suckers chasing each other to lock up, and controled them with MMC from the old cakewalk professional.
