Hey Chris, ever heard the expression "pot calling the kettle black"?

Whatever man. Go back to your praise and worship music.

Perhaps instead of you being such an immature jerk about it, you could try educating me on how to do this so that I don't ruffle your so tenderly fragile feathers going forward? Hmm? hmm?

If I knew how to find the same thread, and then post directly to it, I would do so going forward.

Now! Does anyone care to help me maybe off list with the steps to locate a particular thread, without throwing a 2 year old tempor tantom in the process?

Chris, why do you always start a second and even third or fourth new thread on a specific topic when all actually belongs or could have been posted under the same thread? This makes searching the archives for old posts a nightmare and to be frank, it's very annoying.

Let me explain why this selection toggle issue happens.

When someone makes edits using the mouse, they are clicking into the waveform of a track, therefore placing an insertion point there.

Since we are not using the mouse, we rely on the keyboard to make track selections, that's why we need the Track and edit selections options checked.

However, sometimes when we begin working, even if we've selected a track, the edit selection doesn't take.

Therefore, toggling it will force the edit selection to engage.
You may not have to select another track, you may just be able to toggle the track select on and off, not totally sure about this because I'm using control P and semi colon most of the time.

If you have a control surface, scrubbing inside the track will also create an insertion point.

This trips us all up on occasion, so it needs to be part of our preflight check before we begin editing.

Kevin
