Hello Slau,

I have heard that the Roland Studio Capture will work with ProTools, and if you have 2, you could do 32 channels. Have you tried that one?

Hi Jack,
I can’t answer that yet but, suffice it to say, we’re in the process of procuring both of those interfaces to make an assessment on the accessibility. The software for the MTRX appears, at the outset, to look promising but I’ll have to have an interface in order to see whether all of the controls are visible. I have no idea about the Element software yet but will report here as soon as I know anything.
Best,
Slau

Hi Slau and all!
I am looking for a new interface as well. What might be more
Accessible between Apogee Element that you mentioned and Avid MTRX? I also plan to record drums in my studio.
Thank you so much. Any answer would be appreciated.

Hi Jørgen,
Depending upon what kind of I/O scenario you’re looking for, Apogee just released three new interfaces yesterday that are more affordable than their previous offerings. They are the Element series interfaces and are all Thunderbolt compatible. Thus far, all Apogee interfaces have used an application called Maestro to access the interface settings. The software is almost entirely accessible and it’s also possible to set a number of parameters from the units themselves. Unless these new interfaces have somehow deviated from Apogee’s path all these years, they should be quite useable. As always, the only true test is getting one and trying it. Hope that helps a bit,
Slau

hi list

I will buy a new sound interface but whitch should i buy?
I have usb 3.0 and thunderbolt. Is there a soundcard, were the controlpanel is accessible with voiceover? Should the soundcard's from Uad or Focusrite be a solution? I have found a sound interface from Uad with a quard core processor, the soundinterface is the Uad Apollo 8p Thunderbolt 2 Audio Interface

Should that be a solution?
Best regards
Jørgen
