Sharon, I know that this method is not highly recommended but it might be worth trying:
1. Open Windows Explorer 2. Locate the Programme Files folder and open it 3. Locate the "Plextalk Recording Software" folder and simply delete the whole folder If you have already tried this, then my apologies. This is the latest to what is going on with my install and uninstall problem of the prs software. Yesterday I spent over an hour on the phone with a tech person at plextor. He was very nice and helpful, more considerate than most customer service people. We went through the registery and cleaned out what was in there regarding the software. I then went back through thoroughly and did not find anything else to clean. It still shows that the software is still there in ad/remove programs and will not let me install or uninstall it. I keep getting the error messages that I had posted before. I did a find and cleaned up any software files that were in the windows temporary folder. I also did disc clean afterwards. I have ran out of things to do. It is not finding anything in the find any more. I'm very puzzled and frustrated at the situation. Does anyone have any other ideas as to how I can remove this program out of the ad/remove programs area. I think that if i could get it out of there my problem might be solved. I sure would appreciate any help.
