Sharon, I hesitate to say one way or other. All I can say is that I have installed the PRS on a number of different systems and all with Jaws still running and have never had any trouble apart from on one occasion when the problem was to do with access rights and not to do with a conflict with the speech system.
I wonder if your problem in this regard is to do with the type of sound card you have? Do you know if it is multi channel or not?
