Hi,

When you pause a recording it _should_ not place a track mark in the recording. So,
if you are recording a live event, record, then pause while something is done, then
start again, it will be on the same track. If you stop, then the track is fixed on
the disk.

The other way to get a track is to press the heading key as you suggested, again this
works when the player is recording - so you can use this to get a track ``on the fly''
as it were. Some people have complained that when you press the stop button, some
people press the heading key, which actually seems to get two tracks placed on the
disk; these aren'aren't really removable.

Andrew.

When I am recording a redord I just press the track button and it makes a
new track. If you need to stop recording to change a record just hit the
stop button. Now if you are on the music CD mode when you put it back on
record it will make a new track. I think when you press the pause botton
and start it up again it puts a new track on it. Linda Reeder
