We need to manually build the 7-content-plugins "pulp" image and push to quay.io. (We didn't do this at GA because we were waiting for the content plugins to be updated for 3.0 GA compat and released. 1 or 2 are probably still incompatible, but we can specify their branches/specific-commits in the manual build to compensate.)
Then we update the website to state "3.0". No changes are needed for the script itself, nor the operator image (automatically built & pushed to quay.io.) All together, this is upto half a day of work for me or Dennis (or David). It's straightforward for a human to do the logic, but time-consuming to automate properly (and on the operator epic.) -Mike On Thu, Jan 9, 2020 at 2:59 PM Robin Chan <rc...@redhat.com> wrote: > Mike, > Do we need to do any updates to the demo script on our main landing page > ahead of devconf? > https://pulpproject.org/ <-- Still says "Pulp 3 RC" and I remember a > comment being made that we didn't get a chance to update the script before > the GA went out. > > Robin Chan > > She/Her/Hers > > Satellite Software Engineering Manager - Pulp > > Red Hat <https://www.redhat.com> > > IRC: rchan > <https://www.redhat.com> > > > > On Wed, Jan 8, 2020 at 6:01 PM Brian Bouterse <bmbou...@redhat.com> wrote: > >> >> >> On Wed, Jan 8, 2020 at 4:05 PM David Davis <davidda...@redhat.com> wrote: >> >>> *January 8, 2020* >>> >>> >>> - >>> >>> https://github.com/pulp/plugin_template/pull/165 >>> - >>> >>> Looks good, mikedep333 to approve >>> - >>> >>> https://github.com/pulp/plugin_template/pull/164 >>> - >>> >>> Speed improves or worsens? >>> - >>> >>> Should do a corresponding PR for pulp-operator >>> - >>> >>> NPM plugin >>> - >>> >>> Some code for plugin_template was outdated #5923 >>> <https://pulp.plan.io/issues/5923> >>> - >>> >>> Merged >>> - >>> >>> Run unit and functional tests for the generated plugin? #5925 >>> <https://pulp.plan.io/issues/5925> >>> - >>> >>> PR open, dkliban to review >>> >>> >>> - >>> >>> https://pulp.plan.io/issues/5913 - Local fixtures >>> - >>> >>> Got a container with the fixtures working >>> - >>> >>> >>> https://gist.github.com/daviddavis/562569487be1622ac8e05515e8fee385 >>> - >>> >>> Had problems with docker and rich dep fixtures >>> - >>> >>> Added issue to sprint to complete work >>> - >>> >>> S3 testing? >>> - >>> >>> Run a Travis job to test out S3 support >>> >>> +1 to this >> >>> >>> - >>> >>> Is there a Red Hat product/service we could use (eg ceph)? >>> >>> Yes ceph offers a S3 compatible API >> https://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/radosgw/s3/ >> >>> >>> - >>> >>> More investigation needed >>> >>> >>> David >>> _______________________________________________ >>> Pulp-dev mailing list >>> Pulp-dev@redhat.com >>> https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/pulp-dev >>> >> _______________________________________________ >> Pulp-dev mailing list >> Pulp-dev@redhat.com >> https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/pulp-dev >> > _______________________________________________ > Pulp-dev mailing list > Pulp-dev@redhat.com > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/pulp-dev > -- Mike DePaulo He / Him / His Service Reliability Engineer, Pulp Red Hat <https://www.redhat.com/> IM: mikedep333 GPG: 51745404 <https://www.redhat.com/>
