Mike, please don't be so defensive. I was not accusing you of anything, and I was not telling you to be obligated to me at all. To be perfectly honest, I don't need your help. But this is the exact response I was talking about. Instead of being gracious about something, some developers become defensive and then attack back. And Mike, this is not a personal attack on you, this is a trend I have seen in a number of projects. CakePHP (since I've mentioned them before) do the same thing. When someone is critical about their documentation, they also do the "defend and attack" response (I've probably done the same with my projects as well). Mike, I agree with you that as free software developers we don't "owe" anything to anybody. However, I do think that it's a bit silly to contribute something to the community, and then not expect criticism.
