The branch "default" is the current py3k branch from SVN. The branch
"trunk" represents SVN trunk history until 2.7 was branched for
maintenance.
Would it be possible to name "trunk" as "2.x" instead? Otherwise I
could see people getting confused and asking why trunk was closed,
and/or not the same as "default".

That was my first idea, but then I realized that the branch includes 1.x
and even pre-1.0 commits, so "2.x" might actually be more
confusing/misleading and hide the fact that the full trunk history is
there.

Maybe prePy3k, then? Trunk, after all, is not very descriptive. Or is that name also inaccurate?
