Finally got my head around setting up my Q60. Its been hell getting my
system over. Tried Sernet - wont talk to my PC. Tried floppies - after
filling 80 of them for my data alone, I figured this was not the way to go.
Tried setting up a network with Linux on PC - still working at it. Tried
Thierry's ATAPI/CDROM + qxltools - could never get more than 90% of a
QXL.win file image saved to the HD. Tried CDEZE, only partially works on my
system for some reason. Finally, after another catalogue of troubles
(Minerva is not SMSQ/E ! being the active ingredient here) used Linux/uQLx
to transfer zipped images from CD to the Qdos hard disks - Whew! It worked,
and should be relatively easy to re-do and maintain.

1) Now all thats hunky-dory; I can boot my standard QPC2/Atari/Aurora
system with only minor alterations to the boot file. However, there are
subtile differences: Most QLiberated programs - including QLiberator (3.35)
itself - have problems running with COPYBACK switched on. I have to set the
cache to WRITETHROUGH. Is there a fix?

2) I cant get Linux to read my floppy. It is recognised in the boot screen
as /dev/fd0 HD 2880 but mounting it, eg:

mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /a

throws up errors - wrong format, IO error, etc. Tried from fd0D720 to
fd1H1440, msdos to vfat, various disks, but no joy. uQLx also complains
that it is the wrong format - same whether Qdos or msdos disks are used.
SMSQ recognises it, ie it is not a hardware issue. fdformat wont run - 'cant
execute binary'.

3) Is there a TK2, or clone, available that will allow Minerva to MAKE_DIR,
SET_FUPDT, etc ?

4) Is there a program that will scan all partitions on the hard disk for bad
sectors (SMSQE or Linux)?

5) How can I run atari-fdisk on a live system (to check that my partition
tables are ok)? Can it be compiled to run under Qdos/SMSQ/E ?

6) Where can I find documentation or information on the QWA partion
table(s)?

7) Can uQLx be made to run machine code natively under Qdos?

Hope you can help!
