This is just a semi-thought. If a file is called "win1_d1_twaddle" and there 
is no directory called "win1_d1_" then the home directory is "win1_". Now, 
while the program is in operation someone types "MAKE_DIR win1_d1" and presses 
ENTER. The directory of the file is now "win1_d1_".

Does this worry anyone?
