No it's not. If i'm evaluating a system and program A really sucks, or is
a burden to administer, the common response would be "Man, that program
sucks" and I would remember that experience for a time. The Author of the
program may not be personally affected, but the relationship of
"sendmail"->Allman or "qmail"->DJB has been made and I would be much more
cautious of the next Allman or DJB package that was available.
I think that saying a personal reputation would be injured is a bit far,
but a professional one would be.
