That was a typo ^^;; The *real* .qmail files read:

| /usr/bin/perlscript
./Maildir/

And a couple other question come to mind.... Is there no way to force
qmail to use the defaultdelivery and the .qmail files?  Also, how does the
defaultdelivery apply to /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-aliased users?
