I have a development environment that I am very comfortable with. I do not do exclusively qooxdoo work, so my environment must cater to all of the things I do. My email inbox is always open. If I see a request for help for something I can answer quickly, I'll respond right away; otherwise, if it's something I can answer but will take a while, I may queue it (re-mark it as unread) to return to later. In either case, I can reply directly. I don't tend to keep an RSS reader open; it's not part of my normal work flow, and having to do that only for qooxdoo would mean that I just don't get to see qooxdoo stuff regularly/frequently as I do now. Another key problem with receiving qooxdoo stuff via an RSS feed is that I'm then not able to simply reply to a message; rather I have to click on some link, log in to the forum, possibly even use some awful form-based interface to reply... It makes for a sufficiently tedious and uncomfortable environment that I would reply to questions much, much less frequently. It doesn't fit into my workflow. Hopefully that answers your question of why I, at least, prefer email over RSS. Derrell
