>In the end, it always came back to "I want to have email notifications"
>(like Fritz said e.g.) and thats why we never did such a move.

We don't want any email notification pollution and that is why our messages
seem to break the threads
of the mailing list. If you are a member of only one mailing list it might
work, but if you are a
member of 10 it becomes a lot of emails to read.

We prefer to search for what we want and have an overview of messages in the
mailing list. The first option
is lousy in the mailing list. The second we solve by going to the web site of
the mailing site and
click on the messages of the flow we want to read.

As you can see, a forum would help a lot and the combination of both a mailing
list and a forum
would be the best. It is also the best way to market the framework to
developers!!! Make as many
of them satisfied as possible (all is impossible...)

qooxdoo is minimal in the world and that is the reason to make it bigger...

not everyone but most...

then support it and make it a part of qooxdoo, though you are not mainly
driving it yourself...

> But i'm quite sure that the

You will if the discussions there are of high quality...

You are holding things back and suggestions from the community many times of
certain reasons. It means
the community becomes closer than it necessarily needs to be.

A forum might be the key of a growing community through contributions!!!!

So, 1u1, support the idea actively and let someone of the community do the job!
It solves your issues
but it helps qooxdoo indirectly and the community even more...

Why not let Kristou make a try? Why so resistant? Apparently, it works for
Sencha. Why always
need to learn from them first?
