Dear Colleagues,

I use popper 2.53 on old 2.1 FreeBSD box. I need to disable reverse DNS
lookups to decrease client connection time. So i decided to shift to
qpopper 4.0.2 (my first try) and 4.0.3 (the second one). From qpopper manual
i found out that i have to use crypt library to compile uner FreeBSD. As far
as i could understand (although i am not sure) i should compile
with --enable-specialauth. On that process Qpopper.4.0.2 and 4.0.3 on
FreeBSD 2.1 and 3.4 give me while making:

pop_pass.c: In function `auth_user':
pop_pass.c:1170: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a
cast
pop_pass.c:1177: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
*** Error code 1

Stop.

Can you advise me wether my corse of action for FreeBSD is correct and if so
what i can do with that. Ver. 2.53 doesn't have such problems but doesn't
allow to disable lookups as well.

Thank you very much for your help.

Sasha
