The last thing I would check - if you can and have the access to do so
- is to check the sendmail logs for your mail server.  It may be a
problem with the sending mailserver (perhaps an upstream from
meridia.org) or receiving sendmail such that sendmail is not properly
recognizing the end of message, times out, and the sending server is
requeing the message...

However, if this were the case, I'd expect that ALL messages would be
duplicated...

Still something to check.
