There is no IMAP at my location. Server mode is enabled, though I don't
know why that would affect anything.

Are your webmail users accessing it via an IMAP daemon?

If so, was qpopper4 running in server mode, and is qpopper3 *not*
running in server mode?

I asked some questions a while back about whether qpopper server mode
was compatible with running an IMAP daemon, and didn't get an answer.

We haven't tested that out here yet, but I'm starting to suspect that
it may not be. The current qpopper assumption that it can unlock the
spool during the POP session then relock it and update it in place may
simply be faulty if IMAP is involved.

I'd like to get this one sorted out soon, since we are about to
implement webmail here too.
